The Mediums Group of Companies introduces a new company identity

Before our fall exhibition, our team has something to release today.

From the beginning, Mediums has always had the goal of reinventing the creative industry with retail - pushing boundaries offline and online of what it can be. There were no case studies, no examples, no company we set to beat - we wanted to create something we could proudly say had no clashes to the current market.

Since then, Mediums has grown to become more than just Mediums Sukhumvit 42 and Mediums Online on the Web. It has opened services to cover the basic needs of one creative and more: a drink to get them going - ve/la, creative education with no boundaries - make[space] and a space to set their ideas free - nmbr.

Every single day, we aspire to create something new and something better. Improving on the services we already provide as well as introducing new ones to develop our ecosystem further. This is why we're changing our company name to Mediums Group, opening the door to explore more and do more in the long run. This name change signifies a move in our business organization to a holding group with a family of brands.

The Wordmark

Our main goal for this change was separating the distinction of the company and the mediums brand (formally known as mediums retail). With this we are introducing a new wordmark for the holding company whilst mediums retail keeps it’s original branding.

Family of Brands

In the attribution system, the Mediums Group branding can be tied with the graphic below to indicate the brands introduced and currently managed by The Mediums Group of Companies.

We're also introducing a brand strip. A combination of all the trademarks in the family of brands to represent the companies diversified line up of brands, products and services.

Attribution System

We believe our customer base should know when a product/service comes from our company and even though currently, many already attribute the likes of mediums™, make[space]™ and nmbr™ to Mediums Group, there are still brands like ve/la™ and cups™ which are considered by many to be a partner organization alone. To be as transparent as possible, we are also releasing an attribution system alongside these changes. In the upcoming weeks and months, these guidelines will be applied to signage, online platforms and other physical applications with the phrases ‘from mediums group’ or ‘a part of mediums group’ mentioned as such.

The entire family of brands will keep its original name (ex. the mediums brand will still remain mediums) with an added association to the parent company with a 'from mediums group' or with a 'a part of mediums group' badge on native + web platforms, physical signage, pop ups, events and more.

Throughout the next quarter, we aim to change all digital appearances to this new identity and within the next six months, all physical appearances that refer to the holding group and not the mediums brand.

Our design team has been working hard on this direction and we hope that this makes it easier for all to understand where their favorite services come from, who they are made by and quickly bring new introductions in to their daily lives. Corporate identity guidelines for Mediums Group and its family of brands will be made available to partners and the public by Q1 of 2022.
